The latest sketch is live at Twisted Sketches! This week's twist is, appropriately, 'family' any how, any way. At first, I thought this would be a rather difficult sketch and idea to work with. In fact, it was! I came up with this page almost quite literally at the last minute. I had finally decided what photos I wanted to use. As I was rummaging through my drawers of paper, I came across Bo Bunny's "Beau Jardin" line that my wonderful husband got me for Christmas a couple years ago. Most of us out there totally understand the "I don't want to cut such pretty paper" syndrome. That's how I felt about these papers. However, every since working with Twisted Sketches, I have found that I'm not so scared to hack into them anymore!
Anyway, this week's sketch was a fun one! It allowed me to add some of my own flair to the page. All I did, for the most part, was just tuck random die cuts under the photos. Such a simple technique can add so much visual interest to a page.
I also decided to play with some Glimmer Glam. It might be hard to see, but the solid cardstock has Glam in "mermaid" slather onto it. It add a nice sheen and glitter to the papers. Other products used are Prima, Stickles, Bam Pop frames, Petaloo "Color Me Crazy" flowers, Cosmo Cricket "DeLovely", and K & Company "Greenhouse".
Thank you for taking a peek! Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family!
