|"So Silly" Twisted Sketches #065-Metal|
This week's twisted sketch was pretty cool to do! I got a chance to use some metal pieces I completely forgot I had in my stash! The twist for the sketch was "metal" any how, any way it inspires you. I used this opportunity to show and teach a girlfriend of mine, Melissa, the basics of scrapbooking. Let's just say this, she is HOOKED!! In fact, this page is part of her album! She did such a fabulous job on her page and I can't wait until she calls me and says, "I JUST BLEW $100 AT THE LSS ON PAPER!!!", to which I will respond, "YAY! WELCOME ABOARD!!!".
Here's her VERY FIRST PAGE!! Doesn't it just look fabulous??!! She did a beautiful job.
The products I used were Bo Bunny's "Block Party". The chipboard stars are painted using Adirondack paint dabbers and then glittered over using Doodlebug's "Sugar Coating" glitters. The chipboard letters are just too cute and they are by Maya Road. They are also painted over using Adirondack dabbers. I decided to try an interesting technique on the letters. I painted the whole letter with the black dabber then just dabbed (no pun intended) the red paint. The effect is awesome and grungy. I used Punchinella for one of the borders and I punched using the Martha Stewart "Arch Lattice" border.
Please, come check it out and see all of the other WONDERFUL and TALENTED Twisted Sisters! I'm sure we can find some way to inspire your creative juices to flow!
