Nikki Sivils and Basically Bare

Basically Bare is swapping with Nikki Sivils for a couple days this week and talk about some awesome projects.  The diversity of the Basically Bare team surprises me yet again.

This was a challenge for me because Nikki Sivils isn't what I'm used to working with.  I decided to stay true to the theme of the paper collection I used.  I worked with "Noah" and decided to make a name plaque for my friend's son, Nolan.

I picked up an inexpensive wood plaque at a local craft store.  I added some paint to it and matted some patterned paper to it.  I also added some Punchinella for visual interest.

I decided to use a paper collage technique on the sun from the "Celestial" set of embellishment from Basically Bare.  Once the glue was dry, I went over it using a ZIG PaintyFX pen.

For the tree, I used some PVC Punchinella (Gold Star Flower) from Gauche Alchemy as a mask and peeled back the top layer of the corrugated board for the trunk.  The rhinestones are from a Gauche Alchemy color kit.

A fussy cut car with some bling and this plaque is done!

Be sure to check out the other Nikki Sivils projects from the Basically Bare team as well as the projects the Nikki Sivils team made using Basically Bare goodies!
