Today is Wednesday! That means that another FANTASTIC sketch is up and live at Twisted Sketches! Go check out the absolutely AMAZING work the sisters cranked out for this week! Truly inspirational and beautiful stuff.
This week's twist was "time", in honor of the New Year and passage of time. You can use this twist any way that it inspires you to; whether it's literal, figurative, or technique. I used this twist to describe the Temple Square lights in Salt Lake City.
We went to Utah to visit the grandparents over Christmas and to let the kids have a true white Christmas. On Christmas Eve, we went into SLC to go see the 1M+ lights on display at Temple Square. It was absolutely GORGEOUS and it seemed like a Wonderland. However, to me, the crowning piece to see was not the Temple, or the floating Nativity on the Reflection pond. It was the ACTUAL Garibaldi sculpture of the Resurrection of Christ. That page will be coming in the future! Anyway, below are the photos of this week's interpretation with some close ups. I used Echo Park papers and K & Company die-cuts. I love how the victorian-style of the die-cuts bring out the the photo of the temple. The star is a wood embellishment by Kaiser Crafts. I painted it with gold acrylic paint then added gold glitter to it.

Other products used are Recollections rosettes and alphas by Cloud 9 and American Crafts Thickers.

There's also a design team call going on too! Try it out and submit! I assure you. These gals and Anam are AMAZING to work with! Click here for the direct link to the call and good luck!
