Gauche Alchemy Upcycled Awesomeness

Good morning, my twistedly wonderful beauties!  I hope everyone had a rockin' and kick ass weekend full of much fun, laughs, and debauchery.  I, unfortunately, did not have a party-hearty weekend.  Instead, I've been just pluckin' away working on some more creative goodies for everyone.  More on that later.

Today, I get to FINALLY share with you the best idea for a mini I've had in a long time.  We all love to be savvy, thrifty, and innovative.  Well, do I have the project for you!  I recycled some parts of some old jeans that were just too worn out to donate.

Denim has become a big trend in the creative arts industry.  We've seen flowers, trims, and other embellishments made from denim.  We've even seen the pockets from jeans used on scrapbook pages.  But have you ever seen the back pockets used as mini album?  No??!!  Well, you can now scratch that off of your bucket list!

I created this mini album exclusively for Gauche Alchemy and it is chocked full of Gauchey goodies!  I used Fancy Pants' fall release, "Summer's End".

After I had cut apart my jeans, I was actually going to throw these away!  About 3.7 seconds later, I came to my senses and started cutting the pockets off.  When I went to pick up my stack of pockets, I had my epiphany!  I was looking at my next mini.

I honestly could NOT believe how easy it was to put this little baddy together.  The denim truly does all of the work for you.  SIGN ME UP!

I used a plethora (isn't that such a fun word???) of shtuffs from Gauche Alchemy.  My page trims are from the Lace Variety Pack and I used Punchinella e-ver-y-where.  A word of advice, if you want the biggest bang for your buck regarding lace trims and the versatile punchinella, Gauche Alchemy is most definitely the way to go.  It will take me months to use up all of it!
Now, because I only had the papers from Fancy Pants (major CHA score!), I had to make my own embellishments from the papers.  Good thing I have a love for fussy cutting!  All of the cute little birdies, leaves, trees, and what not are all cut from the papers.  Another great tip to making your dollar really stretch, look at your paper as more than just paper.  There are a wealth of embellishments right there in that 12x12 area of goodness.
Here are some more close ups of the other pages.

I used various little yummies from the Gauche Alchemy color kits, Envy, Blue Streak, and Lady Marmalade.

The tickets used on this page are also from Gauche Alchemy.

I hope you feel inspired, to reduce, reuse, recycle, and create something FABULOUS!  Please, puh-lease, upload your wonderful "upcycled" projects to our Flickr Group.  I am ALWAYS checking out our group for new projects to love on and to get inspired by!

Please, head over to the Gauche Alchemy blog and read about the month long birthday bash going on in honor of Gauche Alchemy's 3rd birthday.  There's a HUGE prize up for grabs, the "available by subscription only" ACME kit...for FREE for a whopping *3* months!  Holy moses!  Say wha???!!!  There are also other prizes up for grabs including a Postal Prize pack!
