The latest sketch is live and active at Twisted Sketches! This week's twist was an unusual one for me and I just LOVED the challenge that it posed. This week's twist is "comfort", any how any way. After I sat and thought about this for a couple of days, I realized that I had the perfect photo to use!
|Sketch 087 'comfort'|
This photo of my son was taken a couple years ago. I walked down the hall and saw him combing his hair after his shower. I couldn't help it! I cracked up and just had to take a picture!
The full title reads "Always Be Comfortable In Your Skin", and that he definitely was! The alphas are by American Crafts Thickers and Adornit.
The border is made from this AWESOME retro style paper my good friend Dawn sent. I cut out the squares, chalked the edges and layered them. I used pop dots under some of them to give it dimension. I just love how they look like the Golden books I used to read when I was his age. The "fierce" die cut is from Making Memories and just thought it added a nice bit of spunk to the page.
I used Walnut Ink to kind of give the page a "mud splat and smudge" look. I like the effect it added to the page in general.
The background papers I used are my Little Yellow Bicycle and were sent to me from Dawn. She's so awesome!! The boy die cut is by DaisyDs.
